At the 10th ConTech 2025: Content and Technologies for Digital TV in Russia conference, experts discussed strategies for the technological development of the broadcasting industry. Among the speakers was Grigory Kuzin, Director of the Medialogistika project at MSK-IX, who presented Mediabaza, a new industrial B2B marketplace.

He described the platform as a comprehensive infrastructure connecting all stages of the workflow from securing rights and managing materials to release and secure content delivery. Kuzin compared Mediabaza to a B2B equivalent of consumer OTT platforms, designed for the professional community, noting that its core mission is to bring speed, structure, and predictability to the market by eliminating fragmentation.

“Instead of disjointed processes, we now have a single route: content card, deal, versions, release. When everything flows smoothly, launch time is dramatically reduced. Moreover, all routine tasks – from searching and metadata creation to preliminary compliance – are handled by AI, which significantly reduces operating costs,” Grigory Kuzin said.

Developed by MSK-IX, the platform also addresses government-level objectives by ensuring transparency in the circulation of rights and materials, as well as full compliance with regulatory standards. Through automated machine screening, the system detects potential risks, generates time codes, and recommends appropriate age ratings. Mediabaza’s integration with domestic technology stacks, along with its encryption and redundancy systems, guarantees technological sovereignty and data security.

Grigory Kuzin highlighted the platform’s decentralized model as one of its greatest competitive advantages.

“We are not building a closed vertical system tied to a single vendor. We are creating a horizontal infrastructure – a community. This allows participants to choose the services they need, and the platform’s evolution is determined collectively by votes from verified partners,” he emphasized.

Grigory Kuzin also announced the launch of a sandbox within Mediabaza for AI startups specializing in auto-compliance, localization, and cataloguing, inviting the industry to pilot and scale only those technologies that demonstrate tangible, measurable results.

The 10th anniversary ConTech 2025: Content and Technologies for Digital TV in Russia conference was organized by TMT Conference, IAA TelecomDaily, and Telesputnik. Traditionally, the event brings together strategic, creative, and technological streams, focusing on complex case studies and industry integration to identify the key development vectors for digital television in Russia.
