Mediabaza’s spring update: Expanded capabilities for Mediabaza Mdisk and Mediabaza Market
Mediabaza Mdisk
The update includes three key areas:
1. Technical base: Speed and security
We have optimized Mdisk’s core capabilities: large file processing has been accelerated, the task manager has been completely updated, and support for file groups and archives has been added. The built-in player now allows users to view key media formats directly within the interface.
For greater transparency, an event log has been implemented to record all actions involving files and folders. Access rights management has also been updated, and an email notification system for important changes has been introduced.
2. Commerce: Integration with Market
The main change is the deep integration of the Market storefront with Mdisk. Content cards can now be linked to specific Mdisk locations, and buyers can gain automatic access to them once a request is approved.
When linking content, the system automatically creates the necessary folders in the selected location, accelerating the processing of requests and transactions, as well as eliminating manual operations.
In addition, a report pool has been integrated: each uploaded file undergoes automated integrity and quality checks (including checksums, technical parameters, and industry QC profiles), as well as screening for potential compliance risks based on preset rules, including AI-based analysis. Reports are available for download in PDF format.
3. Operational processes: Teamwork
The “Shared” and “Available to Me” sections allow users to transfer locations to partners or work directly within a partner’s disk space. For example, files can be transferred from a partner’s location to your Mdisk folders without downloading them to a local computer, significantly saving time and bandwidth.
This approach enables the creation of end-to-end media production workflows (editing → localization → subtitling → transcoding) and supports the simultaneous involvement of multiple contractors. The system also allows for flexible configuration of roles and access levels within teams.

This release also updates key interaction elements on the platform.
The showcase and product cards have been improved, as well as navigation and filtering, and a specialized player for vertical demo videos has been added.
Updates have also been made to the Portfolio section, improving performance when working with large datasets and accelerating request processing.
