At World Content Market 2026, MSK-IX presented new capabilities of its Mediabaza platform for the professional media market. Dmitry Rassadin shares updates on the Mediabaza platform

As part of the forum’s business program, platform manager Dmitry Rassadin and development manager Sofya Pashuta presented the concept of the system’s “three layers”: Mediabaza Market, Mediabaza Techno, and Mediabaza Mdisk. They emphasized that this architecture enables seamless production workflows, optimizing every stage of media content management.

Dmitry Rassadin also detailed the platform’s technological approach, designed to reduce costs and eliminate redundant operations in media content workflows.

“Our primary goal is to prevent unnecessary movement of content. Within the Mdisk cloud storage system, we have created a model where a folder with source files serves as a shared workspace for the rights holder and their localization or transcoding partners – without requiring data to be transferred to external environments,” he noted.

The speaker also placed particular emphasis on the use of AI tools that support companies in meeting regulatory requirements.

“We are developing a pre-compliance system. When a media file is uploaded, algorithms assess the material against legal requirements and generate a report. While this does not replace final legal or editorial review, it significantly reduces manual effort,” Dmitry Rassadin explained.

Sofya Pashuta also presented practical use cases for the platform, highlighting its effectiveness as a lead generation tool. She referenced Mediabaza residents – the Russian Travel Guide and Travel+Adventure TV channels – which use the platform not only for signal distribution but also as a marketplace for specialized services.

“Today, Mediabaza is a tool for dealing with specific business tasks. For instance, when a broadcaster needs niche thematic content to build a schedule, the platform enables quick access to the rights holders through advanced filters, tags, and subject-based search. As a result, it drives not just views, but real negotiations and deals,” Sofya Pashuta said.

Speaking about the platform’s content library strategy, she also noted growing interest in projects from CIS countries and regional studios.

“We see strong potential in national content. Projects from Belarusfilm, the Kyrgyz Film Center, and distributors from Kazakhstan are already available on the platform. Our goal is to create a one-stop destination where professional buyers can find everything from sports dramas to vertical video content for digital platforms,” the expert concluded.

The platform currently hosts more than 750 professional accounts and features over 520 TV channels and around 4,000 content titles.
