A business session, Video Streaming: Practical Application of AI in Media Businesses, was organized by the Moscow Innovation Cluster (MIC) together with MSK-IX’s Mediabaza industrial platform. Rather than abstract technological scenarios, the discussion focused on specific challenges facing the media market: content generation and preparation, recommendation systems, monitoring, rights protection, and compliance automation.

The session was opened by Anton Vorykhalov, Development Director at Blooper.ai, who presented an overview of the global generative AI market in media. According to him, the industry is moving beyond isolated experiments toward a more mature ecosystem, where demand is increasingly driven by professional production solutions.

Yevgeny Ilyushin, Director for AI at Okko, spoke about how algorithms influence user experience quality. Yevgeny Khilchenko, Head of SonicScout PRO, introduced tools for real-time monitoring of the media environment. Anna Grashchenkova, n’RIS Deputy General Director, demonstrated how neural networks could be used to detect pirated content and protect intellectual property. Natalia Tylevich, CEO of Social Laboratory, presented AI-driven compliance solutions aimed at accelerating pre-broadcast verification and reducing regulatory risks.

In his closing remarks, Grigory Kuzin, Director of Media Platforms at MSK-IX, presented Mediabaza as an industrial environment where AI services for media could be showcased, integrated into workflows, and brought to market in a practical format.

“It is important for us that both the Moscow Innovation Cluster and the Mediabaza industrial platform operate in the same direction, supporting the development of domestic AI services for the media industry. In this context, Mediabaza becomes a point of convergence where content meets technology, AI services gain industry visibility, developers can promote their solutions, and Russian media products acquire export potential,” Grigory Kuzin noted.

A key conclusion of the session was that a structured landscape of domestic AI services for the media industry is already taking shape in Russia. The Media Technology Cluster and Mediabaza help ensure that these solutions do not remain isolated initiatives, but instead find practical application within the broader technological ecosystem of media companies.
